I've always been partial to decorating a cereal box with construction paper, crayons, and magazine cut-outs. Placing it on my desk and waiting for it to fill with cards and candy as my classmates made rounds, delivering the goods. Once I reached middle school, this ritual was no longer practiced, and with it's extinction came my (I don't want to say dislike) apathetic view for the holiday. I think Ze Frank explains it very well in this video.
